This festive season, Sunglass Hut South Africa is proud to announce the launch of the “Own Your Moment” Talent Show, an exciting live singing competition taking place at the Amphitheatre, V&A Waterfront. Created to celebrate confidence, creativity, and self-expression, the series offers emerging performers a vibrant platform to shine in one of Cape Town’s most iconic outdoor venues.
Running across four live shows on 30 November, 7 December, 14 December and 18 December, the competition invited members of the public to enter and showcase their vocal talent in front of judges Vicky Sampson and Karin Kortje, including a rotating weekly surprise celebrity guest judge. Each show will highlight new voices, compelling performances, and inspiring personal journeys as contestants bring their unique sound and style to the amphitheatre.
The series will conclude with a Grand Finale on Thursday, 18 December, where an overall winner will be crowned. The winner will get the opportunity to perform as part of the V&A NYE celebrations and share a stage with established artists like Zoë Modiga and Goodluck. Throughout the season, audiences can expect a high-energy entertainment experience filled with summer atmosphere, expressive fashion moments, storytelling and giveaways that reflect Sunglass Hut’s commitment to celebrating individuality.
