The Black Coffee Foundation reflects on the impactful Feed the Family, Share the Joy campaign – a nationwide Christmas giving effort that has brought hope, nourishment and dignity to underprivileged families across South Africa during the 2025 festive season.
Through generous public support; international and national donor contributions; and community partnerships – the Foundation has been able to distribute thousands of food parcels to families in need, ensuring that Christmas tables are filled and that the spirit of togetherness reaches communities often forgotten during the holidays.
Throughout the collective efforts, the Foundation made it possible to prepare and deliver food parcels to families across multiple provinces, reaching communities from rural areas to urban townships.

Food parcels were successfully distributed to families in:
• Ngangelizwe Township
• Median Farm
• Waterfall
• Qweqwe
• eTipini
• Silverton
• Zimbane Valley
• Ngcobo
• Bizana
• Soweto
Each parcel was carefully prepared to provide essential groceries and basic necessities, helping families experience a festive season marked by happiness, dignity and shared meals.
As part of its ongoing festive outreach, the Foundation will continue its efforts on 24 December, when the Black Coffee Foundation team heads to Limpopo to distribute additional food parcels made possible through recent donations and community support.
Reflecting on the impact of the campaign, Lungie Maphumulo, CEO of the Black Coffee Foundation, said – “Feed the Family, Share the Joy is about restoring hope and happiness where it is needed most. Seeing families smile, knowing that they will be able to share a meal together on Christmas Day, reminds us why this work matters. The success of this campaign is a testament to what can be achieved when communities come together with compassion and purpose. We are deeply grateful to every donor, partner and supporter who helped us uplift families across the country this festive season.”
The Feed the Family, Share the Joy campaign reinforces the Black Coffee Foundation’s ongoing commitment to uplifting impoverished communities and addressing food insecurity – not only during the festive period, but throughout the year.
Through collective generosity and purposeful action, the Foundation continues to ensure that Christmas is not just a season on the calendar, but a shared experience of care, nourishment and joy for families across South Africa.
On 25 December, Zor will host a Christmas Day Lunch for 10 disadvantaged families – ensuring that they are able to enjoy a warm, shared meal on the day itself along with all South Africans. Building on this act of generosity, the Black Coffee Foundation will extend its support by providing food parcels to each family, ensuring that they continue to have access to nutritious food once they return home.
