Hisense likes keeping cool things close to home, creating more jobs and building affordable quality appliances that last year after year. Take their fridges, for example. They’re made in Hisense’s Atlantis factory in the Western Cape, exported to West Africa, North Africa and Europe, and are set to increase production from 360 000 units a year to 540 000, creating over 103 new jobs and supporting the Atlantis community in the process.
It’s a factory that alongside TVs, has manufactured more than 1.95 million fridges since they started producing Hisense appliances in South Africa. The brand has over 40 fridge and freezer models in the country, and whether it’s style, space or high-tech features you’re after, Hisense has you covered. Whether you’re after a large American–style multidoor appliances with Total No Frost so you never have to worry about defrosting ever again, a slimline side-by-side appliance with built-in water dispensers for perfectly chilled water whenever you like, or a bar fridge for convenience, there’s plenty on offer for your budget and kitchen space.
“Our lineup of fridges and freezers is one of our brand’s most exciting portfolios, but more than just delivering specialised solutions to kitchens, homes and workplaces, we’re committed to growing the industry here and providing as many jobs as possible,” says Mr Youbo Li, spokesperson for Hisense.
Hisense plans to expand their factory in the near future, creating more job opportunities for South Africans.
