South Africa’s most exciting music and friendship showdown is back! Friends of Amstel: The Challenge returns for Season 2, premiering 14th June 2025 on eTV, with the dynamic award-winning Lawrence Maleka returning as the beloved host.
This season brings even more energy and fire with a lineup of fresh new games, unexpected twists, and must-see personalities. In the mix are some of the country’s biggest music stars, including DJ Tira, Makhadzi, Khuli Chana, Nasty C, Mawhoo, and Mr JazziQ to name a few.
Joining Lawrence in the Amstel Arena are two powerhouse DJs, returning crowd-favourite LKG – the Mother of the Beats, and new resident DJ, the dynamic Lamiez Holworthy.
Each episode sees a musician and their three friends (Defenders) take on a consumer and their three friends (Challengers) in a series of friendship and music-based challenges, all competing for up to R60,000 in cash, exclusive VIP experience at a Friends of Amstel event and the ultimate bragging rights being best Friends of Amstel.
