New Balance, a global leader in athletic footwear and apparel, has demonstrated its commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of young athletes and advancing cricket development in South Africa. In a grand gesture, New Balance has donated R800,000 worth of technical equipment to the Temba Bavuma Foundation.
The Temba Bavuma Foundation was founded by Proteas captain, Temba Bavuma in 2016, and is dedicated to creating opportunities and empowering underprivileged youth through education and sports. The foundation aims to build a brighter future for the next generation by providing access to quality education and nurturing talent in cricket.
The handover ceremony took place at the iconic Wanderers Cricket Stadium on Monday, 4th December 2023. This event marked a significant milestone in the collaboration between New Balance and Temba Bavuma, reflecting a shared commitment to making a positive difference in South African communities and the future of sports.
The Temba Bavuma Foundation is dedicated to rewriting the South African narrative by providing access to quality education through scholarships.
