Touchline, Kwesta, A-Reece, and 25K Unite for a Powerful Moment at Castle Lite Unlocks

This past weekend, South African Hip-Hop took center stage at the Castle Lite Unlocks: Travis Scott Pre-Show Experience, where Touchline, Kwesta, A-Reece, and 25K delivered a performance that reminded audiences why local rap continues to define the cultural heartbeat of Mzansi.

Held at the Gold Rush Dome, the showcase brought together four generations of artistry — each with their own story, sound, and city — to create one unforgettable moment for Hip-Hop fans.

25K and A-Reece opened their set with “Hustlers Prayer”, transforming the stage into a moment of reflection and motivation. Kwesta and Touchline followed with a soulful joint rendition of “I’ll Always Have Me”, seamlessly blending into Kwesta’s “Out of Love” verse — a lyrical exchange that highlighted the respect and mentorship between two generations of emcees.

In a moving tribute, the four artists honored the legends who paved the way — AKA, HHP, Pro Kid, and Riky Rick — each taking a moment to reflect on the icons who shaped their journeys and the culture at large.

The night closed on a high note as Kwesta performed “Spirit”, leaving the audience lifted and united in celebration of the genre’s energy, resilience, and timeless appeal.

From storytelling and lyrical depth to the collective power of collaboration, the performance at Castle Lite Unlocks captured the true essence of South African Hip-Hop — bold, reflective, and deeply rooted in community.

Hip-Hop didn’t just perform — it connected.
