adidas and Arsenal have today unveiled the new away kit for the 2026/27 season, with a design that reimagines one of the most iconic shirts in football, bringing the spirit of one of Arsenal’s defining eras into a new chapter for the Premier League champions.
Featuring the adidas Trefoil logo, the navy kit celebrates Arsenal’s rich heritage while combining elite performance innovation with football culture and style. The design brings the spirit of the iconic Bruised Banana design, originally worn from 1991-93, into the modern era and follows Arsenal’s 2025/26 Premier League title win.
Few football shirts have achieved the status of Arsenal’s celebrated early-1990s away jersey. Instantly recognisable and forever associated with a defining period in the club’s history, the design remains one of the most beloved and has become a symbol of a team whose style, personality and success left a lasting mark on football, that created memories generations of supporters still carry today.
For the 2026/27 season, adidas and Arsenal revisit that legacy, creating a fresh interpretation that honours the past whilst reflecting the ambition of the Premier League champions as they look forward to an exciting new era.

The new away kit is accompanied by a series of miniature films exploring the concept that every shirt has a story, which look at the journey to this shirt from players, club legends and supporters.
Starring Declan Rice, Chloe Kelly, Riccardo Calafiori, Ian Wright, Little Simz and a series of supporters, the films look at iconic career moments, childhood memories and matchday rituals that have led them to the 2026/27 away shirt.
Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori said: “We’re all looking forward to playing in this kit, we know the impact that the Bruised Banana has had on our supporters, you only have to see how many still wear it today to understand how much it means to the club. We’re proud to wear something with such history attached to it and use that as inspiration as we continue to push ourselves forward. It’s our turn to create our own legacy at the club, we’ve enjoyed so many amazing moments with our supporters but we’re hungry for more. We want to keep winning, keep creating special memories together and give our supporters even more reasons to be proud of the team.”
Built on a navy base, the jersey features a bold, engineered graphic inspired by the geometric pattern that made the original design so distinctive. Reworked with a contemporary execution, the all-over print combines navy and yellow tones, creating a dynamic visual identity that is distinctively Arsenal.
The Trefoil crew-neck collar incorporates red and yellow accents, while complementary detailing across the jersey adds contrast and energy to the overall look.
The Arsenal crest sits proudly on the chest alongside the adidas Trefoil logo, synonymous with adidas Originals and football culture, the Trefoil reinforces the connection between the club’s history and contemporary football fashion, positioning the kit as both a performance product and a lifestyle statement.
The base fabric features bespoke engineering developed specifically for the jersey, adding depth and dimension to the design while maintaining a lightweight feel. Designed for elite performance, the jersey incorporates adidas’ latest CLIMACOOL+ technology, helping regulate body temperature through advanced moisture management and strategically placed ventilation zones.
The 2026/27 away kit is completed with matching navy shorts and socks, featuring coordinated red and yellow detailing to create a bold and cohesive on-pitch look, and is available from today via selected adidas retail locations, and online at adidas.co.za.
