TRACE IS LOOKING FOR THE NEXT AMAPIANO SUPERSTAR PRODUCER – IT COULD BE YOU!

In helping elevate and embrace this new sound and the culture, TRACE is giving Amapiano producers the opportunity to win a fully paid-for music video of their best track. Best of all, the public will get to choose the final winner.

“We’re a brand that is proudly innovative, disruptive and urban within our DNA, hence why we have launched such a competition to discover the next Amapiano superstar producer,” says Valentine Gaudin-Muteba, TRACE South Africa Managing Director.

“Our goal within the continent is to highlight emerging talents and to help them create their own legacy, especially that of the creative youth who need to be allowed to express themselves as fully as possible.”

Originating from the capital city, Pretoria, dubbed the home of House Music, Amapiano is a unique mix of deep house and gqom, blended with the jazzy, soulful sounds of a piano, that has taken the local airwaves by storm.

The transmissible sounds can be heard from taxis in Mamelodi, to Noord, to Diepkloof, to house parties, street bashes and nightclubs in and around the country.

The sound is also gaining popularity in other parts of Africa thanks to the variation of mixes done by some of the pioneers of this unique sound.

To submit your Amapiano track visit www.trace.tv, submissions close on Sunday, 31 March 2019. Terms and Conditions apply.
