An annual event filled with plenty of activities for consumers to socialize, play, and enjoy with their families and friends, whilst listening to the biggest artists in the South African music industry. This festival has been running for the past 4 years, and this year will be the firth year. Attracting people all over Ekurhuleni and neighboring cities, with an attendance rate of over 20 thousand people over the 3 days.
Spring Break is a 3 Day event hosted by Raplyf Records, founded by accomplished rapper and creative Kwesta. The event offers an array of entertainment, such as Boat Cruises, theme park for kids to enjoy and play, gaming station for all the gamers and tech enthusiast to indulge in the latest games and gadgets. The festival also offers a camping site which consumers can rent a space for the duration of the event, the camping site offers, tents, shower stations, security, 3 meals per day, charging stations and the beauty of it is that it is close to all the festivities. The event offers a child friendly environment, ensuring the entire family can come as a whole to enjoy in a safe and controlled entertainment environment.
The event is set to take place in Germiston Lake, in the city of Ekurhuleni during the last weekend of September from 27 – 29 September. The three days have been divided in various musical genres, which are Gqom vs Amapiano on Friday with a lineup including Dj Tira, Destruction Boyz, Dj Maphorisa, Dj Sumbody, Kabza da Small, Da Mthuda, Kaygee Da King, BET award winner Sho Madjozi, to mention a few. The Hip Hop vs House on Saturday features Heavy K, Kwesta, Cassper Nyovest, Ricky Rick, Senul Musicain, Busiswa, Kid X and Black Motion and finally Sounds of Soul on Sunday, which is focused on AfroPop and Rnb. The Sounds of Soul Features, Mafikizolo, Bucie, Donald, Mlindo the Vocalist, Berita, Encore, Thabsie, Glen Lewis.
