Gin fans, this past Sunday, partook in an interactive Tanqueray cocktail masterclass where they sampled and discovered the Tanqueray range hosted by one of the top Reserve Brand Ambassadors, Octavia. Guests were treated to London Dry Gin, Tanqueray NºTEN as well as the brand new Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla cocktails with friends of the brand including celebrity chef Lorna Maseko as well as graphic designer and creator, Joe Human, in attendance.
Partakers learned the tricks of the trade and delved into the history, styles and creation of Tanqueray cocktails; the brand story and how to make their very own bespoke cocktails, adding their unique personal touch to the beloved G&T exclusively at the Masterclass hosted at the Tanqueray Gin Garden. Tanqueray proved to be the gin of choice this weekend where enthusiasts had the opportunity to interact with the liquid, while pairing it with a plethora of delectable culinary offerings at the popular Tanqueray Gin Garden.
“The artistry of pairing food with gin, dubbed ‘ginstronomy’, is gaining in popularity in South Africa, as gastronomes explore matching the complex botanicals of the juniper-based spirit with some of their favourite foods. There’s a whole world of delicious foods that are just perfect to enjoy with your G&T at the Tanqueray Gin Garden,” said Tanqueray Senior Brand Manager at Diageo South Africa, Candice Ngcobo. “It’s important for Tanqueray to convey the history of the Bartender’s choice for the Perfect G&T in such a fun, engaging and enjoyably intimate experience, with a maximum of 8 consumers all joining in the fun together,” she concluded.
Tanqueray aims to impress bartenders and consumers alike as they’re now able to create a fresh, new twist on Tanqueray using the brand variants, tonic and garnishing which will complement the very subtle yet fresh aromas of grapefruit on the nose which leads to a great blend of juniper, vanilla and lime on the palate to bring about unmistakably Tanqueray moments throughout the upcoming summer season.
