Looking beyond the height, complexion or size of the contestants, the Miss Egoli pageant is a platform that is all about women empowerment. Its first auditions took place in Ferndale Recreatonal Center, Johannesburg on 27th March 2021 and the ladies have embarked on the pageant journey to spark entrepreneurial fires in young South African ladies. We take a close look at the top finalists as they prepare for the crowning which will take place on 4th September 2021.
Tsholofelo Prella Mokolometsa
Tsholofelo is a 25 years of age from Mahikeng in North West. She is a fashion designer by profession and is passionate about the arts, women empowerment and child development. As the owner of TeePrella fashion and style, Tsholofelo has enjoyed support in growing her business as a young woman and wants to inspire other women to start their own business.

Tsakane Sono
Tsakane is a 23 years old lady from Soweto who is an Occupational Therapist and is currently studying towards her Master of Science as a part time student at Wits University. She runs a nutrition and wellness business and is very passionate about women and children, especially those that are marginalized due to issues such as period poverty and psychiatric illnesses. She volunteers at a home for children with special needs once a month. Her Miss Egoli journey has been a great learning experience and it has up skilled her to become a better entrepreneur and business woman. Through her journey, Tsakane hopes to inspire young women to believe in the power that lives inside of them, not matter what circumstances they may be facing.
Winnie Vilakazi
A 22 years old lady from Villa liza in Boksburg Gauteng, Winnie is passionate about bringing resources and financial stability that women need to the young women that need it the most. Coming from an area where poverty is experienced at first hand by most if not all community members daily, her aim is to ensure that women have the tools of entrepreneurship that she believes is a way out for women. She is working hard to have her own registered NPO that focuses on not just giving young women fish but also teaching them how to catch fish.
Gomolemo Sedumedi
A 21 year old young vibrant young woman, currently residing in the North of Johannesburg – Cosmo City, Gomolemo is studying towards a Honours degree in Industrial Psychology. She is passionate about business and entrepreneurship, and that is a space where she is actively seeking knowledge. Her current ambition is to establish herself as a brand by being an editorial and fashion model. Gomolemo is constantly taking up opportunities to develop her confidence and self esteem as she believes that every young girl should indeed take up space and fully blossom into the women they are meant to be.
Pearl Thobile Khumalo
Pearl Thobile Khumalo is a 16 year old from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. She is very passionate about making a difference to people’s lives because seing a person happy makes her more happy. She is currently studying and runs a mini salon where she specializes in braiding people’s hair. She is a motivational speaker that aims to make a difference in people’s lives.

Londiwe Khumalo
A stunner from Edenvale, Gauteng, Londiwe is a student at Dowerglen High school currently doing Grade 10. Eco-friendly environment is something she ispassionate about. “The future of the environment should be taken seriously because the effects of global climate change include longer periods of droughts in some regions” At school, she’s a part of two groups which are Girl 101(working with girls) and also the interact club (helping those indeed). “Miss Egoli has really been an eye opener for me,” she shares, I have developed an interest in empowering the youth on ecofriendly environment.”
Slindile Zitha
She goes by the names of Slindile Zitha and she is16 years of age. A student at Willowmoore High School who is passionate about the upliftment of the society. She has gained invaluable skills on how to handle herself in a competition, it has also upgraded her confidence and made her lose stage fright. Her journey in this pageant has been filled with lessons, encouragement and inspiration. Slindile has also learned to be comfortable in her own skin and body .The undying spirit of sisterhood is what will remain with her to her old years. She dreams big and that often means introspection but is very happy and proud of her achievements.
Mpho Koalane
Mpho Koalane is 19 years of age and is passionate about uplifting and empowering women, and helping them to be more confident. “Watching women from disadvantaged communities rise and Impacting lives ignites me.” She entered Miss Egoli to challenge herself about standing alone and also to change her perspective about business. She now views business differently than before and she’s now coming up with new business ideas. She owns an accessory, jewelry and handbag online boutique which is called Barbie.M Collection. She now sees herself owning an underwear line and a clothing line branded with her name on it in the future.
Sphiwo Zondi
Sphiwo Zondi is a 20 years old a from Pretoria. She originates from a small town in KwaZuluNatal called Ixopo. She is passionate about the arts, communicating stories through arts and much more. She is a part of the Afrika Arts festival which is a theatrical project that is working together with Kwethu Productions and the 4play Production team. As part of her NGO, she has been able to donate sanitary pads to Siyanakekelana development centre in Soweto. From her findings, they take care of their community and building the youth by offering multiple skills that they can utilize and stretch their potential.

Yolokazi Rono
Yolokazi is a 20 year old 3rd year mechanical engineering student at UJ. She is a Longrich distributor and the owner of the Longrich: From Yolo to You online store. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and women empowerment.
Katlego Maloba
Katlego is a 21 years old from Mameldi East, Pretoria. She is studying Physical Metallurgy Engineering at the University of Johannesburg. I am passionate about giving back and making a positive impact on people’s lives. I am a business owner and an executive member to an NGO called Sustainable Edu Empowerment Foundation (SEE Foundation). Giving back brings me so much joy so I volunteer as much as I can be it be at my school, my res or doing charity work. I love praying because prayer keeps me grounded. I love make-up, cooking and being surrounded by good energies. Body positivity and selflove/admiration are the most I advocate for, I believe that we are our kind of beautiful and that our imperfections are what makes us perfect. I want to change the face of beauty and become a Power House and a force of nature, remember my name. I live by this scripture 2 Timothy1:7 for God did not give us the spirit of timidity but the spirit of power, love and a sound mind.
Bongiwe Mtabani
23 years of age, Bongiwe is passionate about fashion, beauty and body confidence. Through her journey in Miss Egoli, she has offered her time at L. U. C. C. A support and care centre in Randburg. She is the owner of an online clothing store call Dressed By Bongi.
Mbalenhle Mathaba
Mbalenhle is 22 years old and an owner of 2 businesses. A model and an actor, her passion lies in making a difference. “I have come to understand that it is beyond human power to make a permanent change in the life of other people but only in my own life. Only Jehovah God can do that!”. She has evolved and transformed in so many ways and has learned life changing skills on her journey.
Thato M Sekhosana
Thato is a 17 year old young lady from Benoni. She sees herself as an empowered lady and a model. “I believe the world is a piano that is being played off tune, my passion is to play the right tune through entrepreneurship and empowering the global mind,” Thato says, “This is the genesis to my revelation of global prosperity. And I love baking.”
Lynnesther Mudaka
A 20 years old student from Alexandra Township, in Johannesburg, Lynnesther is an enthusiastic young lady. She wants to be a voice to the voiceless and help empower the youth against substance abuse and unemployment to help improve their mental health and stability. She owns an online store called “Glamatic_avenue” specializing in glamorous accessories. Lynnesther has partnered with her local church to fight period poverty. “My journey has been an eye opener; it has unlocked some of the capabilities I was always in doubt of. I have learned that there is no limit to what we women can accomplish,” Lynnesther shares.
