Wanting to become a model is a dream that was discovered in the year 2020. Being a model is not just walking around and show casing your beauty, but a true model is a model who becomes a role model and being authentic and a person who brings change in society and in the community, resilient is power, especially if someone want to become a good model.

What challenges have you faced in your modelling career so far?

Disappointment is my worse fear, but I always tell myself that being disappointed is part of life. Looking for sponsorship for Miss Township was one of my challenges, knocking on doors that never opened for me, hence I have been rejected several times but this didn’t stop me from reaching towards reaching my goal. Being a pageant girl is not easy especially when you are still discovering and finding yourself in modelling.

What changes will you bring about if you were given a chance to act as Miss South Africa for 24 hours?

Unemployment is a huge challenge in South Africa, and discrimination is the most common matters and issues in South Africa, however I believe in entrepreneurship. Unemployment can be tackled in different ways  Were creating your own business is the only way that you can employ yourself rather than waiting for companies to employ you, but being business minded can help you find your own way out. Moving into the discrimination sector I believe that it all start at home as parents it is important to teach your children’s about different race group’s and the way parents conduct themselves regarding discrimination reflects on your children’s.

Koketso told Blazon Magazine that in Miss Township South Africa they don’t practice body shaming since we all know the stigma around curvy women entering and being models, where people have this mentality that slim women are the one that should be modellers, the motto of Miss Township South Africa is “Redefining  Beauty” which Koketso interpreted as that everyone is beautiful they is no particular shape or skin colour in modelling everyone can be a model, people should not look for skin colours and shapes to label someone as beauty.
