How did you meet?

We met in Botswana on the 2nd of May 2003

Was it love at first sight?

Him – Yes
Her – Nope

What attracted you to each other?

Him – Her beauty
Her – His mind

Why did you get married?

Because of Love

How did he propose?

He told me in passing after 3 months of dating about his intentions of marrying me. I told him he’s crazy. Then he decided to send a letter to my house on the 6th month.🙈😁

How has marriage changed you?

Her – I’m fat🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I’ve learned to depend on another person.
Him – It has made me a better person.

What has marriage taught you?

Him – Perseverance and love.
Her – Patience.

What do you love most about being married?

Her – Being taken care of.😊

What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your marriage and how did you overcome them?

Power struggles and unmet expectations. We overcame by constant communication and prayer.

What do you mostly fight about?

TV remote control 🙈🤣🤣🤣

What irritates you about each other?

Him – When she thinks she’s always right.
Her – When he doesn’t communicate and expects me to be on the same page.

How do you keep love alive?

By going out on dates and holidays.

What do you do for fun together?

Same as above.

What do you think is the reason for people to not believe in the institution of marriage?

The high rate of divorce more especially within the christian community. Pressure from society leading to an adulterous lifestyle and parents failing to instill values and principles that God wants us to live by.

What advice do you have for people intending to get married?

Him – Marriage is nie pap and vleis🤣🤣🤣🤣
Her – Go for marriage counseling at least 6 months before committing.
Both – Make God the CEO of your life and marriage.
