Where did you meet?

We attended the same church and school so we knew each other for a long time

NO

Him – Personality

Why did you get married?

We love each other

How did he propose?

He told me he wants to marry me and sent a letter to my parents.

How has marriage changed you?

It has not really changed us except that now we have kids lol.

What has marriage taught you?

Patience

What do you love most about being married?

Her – knowing he loves me and that i can rely on him
Him – knowing she has my back always

What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your marriage and how did you overcome them?

Finances and Lack of communication but we overcame it by sticking together and not allowing it to rule us but to rule over it.

What do you mostly fight about?

TV channels, he likes watching soccer and I don’t.

How do you keep love alive?

Spending time together, going on dates as often as we can, continuously telling each other how much we love and appreciate each other.

What do you do for fun together?

We run a decor company which we both love, its not just business for us but its fun and it keeps us together

Marriage is a plan of God which must be honoured and enjoyed.

What do you think makes a marriage work?

Honesty and Trustworthiness.

What makes it fail?

Being ill prepared for marriage may cause you to fail in it, sometimes not being honest to yourself and to your partner and also entering into marriage with the hope to change your partner

Why do you think people do not believe in the institution of marriage?

We are not sure why but we believe in it, since we are Christians and believe that it was created by God. Marriage is a beautiful thing especially when both parties are on the same page, are grounded and rooted in Christ.

Do you think premarital counseling is important, why?

Premarital is very important because it prepares you, it highlights some of the things to expect in marriage and it helps you introspect yourself too as an individual.

Why do you think there’s such a high rate of divorce?

Because people go into marriage expecting more than they are willing to give, some end up in divorce because they entered into this institution without being prepared, some don’t want to compromise and some are not being honest with themselves

What advice do you have for people intending to get married?

Enter marriage with pure intentions. Go for it.
Love is a beautiful thing which makes marriage even greater as long as you stick to being you and God will do the rest as you continue to trust Him.
