Where did you meet?

We met at church in Jan 2013.

Was it love at first sight?

Mmm it wasn’t love at first sight we just grew to love each other

What attracted you to each other?

We just clicked ,we liked the same things.

Why did you get married?

We got married because we felt ready and it felt right.

How did he propose?

I didn’t propose, just told her i am sending my uncles to her place hahaha

How was marriage changed you?

I am more family orientated and grounded.

What has marriage taught you?

Marriage has taught me not to be selfish, to forgive, to listen and to work as a team.

What do you love most about being married?

That i get to spend my money on one woman and only one hahaha!

What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your marriage and how have you overcome them?

Mmmm challenges…?

What do you mostly fight about?

We fight over silly things, when things go wrong we blame each other hahaha.

What irritates you about each other?

Well my wife says I am not a gentleman and that I’m a pantsula, I don’t open the door for her and I don’t hold her hand.

How do you keep love alive?

We keep love alive by always finding things to do together, being around other couples and having fun.

What do you do for fun together?

We go to theater, movies and chill with other couples, we also take out the kids which we enjoy.

Why do you think people don’t believe in the institution of marriage?

People don’t believe in this institution for various reasons and belief systems. However things that make them desist from marriage could be knowing of people around them who have failed in marriage. It’s a huge and serious commitment so at times it has nothing to do with belief but commitment.

What advice do you have for people intending to get married?

Be mentally, spiritually ready/prepared for it. It is fun and don’t look at other peoples marriage and say mine will also be like this.
You will experience different things and it is for you to experience things that way, not like the next couple. Anything designed by God is beautiful so marriage is beautiful and there to be enjoyed.
